Flat cable
A customer experienced damage to a flat cable package during work, causing it to get stuck, making it unworkable.
By calling the manufacturer it turned out that the parts would be available within 8 to 10 weeks.
As a result, ships and/or cargo could no longer be loaded or unloaded, with all the associated planning work and economic aspects.
After consultation, we contacted Igus (supplier of cable rubs) and decided to switch from flat cables (festoon) to cable rub systems. This reduced the delivery time to just two weeks. After careful planning of the work, the crane was put back into service in the third week .
Coil Clamp
We had been called about a problem with a coil clamp that had ended up in the ship.
This could have happened due to improper use of the lifting equipment. This caused the steel cable to break and had to be repaired as soon as possible.
By mobilizing our entire team, this was able to be repaired on the same day.
Hoist controller
A drive failed due to a short circuit. The problem was that the crane could no longer be moved, and the coil clamp was stuck in a coil that could no longer be released.
The crane manufacturer didn’t have this frequency controller in stock, which risked not being able to supply customers.
After consulting with the customer, we switched to a Siemens frequency controller, which allowed for a quick repair.
Hoist brake burned
Customer calls us that smoke is coming out towards the hoist’s lifting setting
After investigation it turned out that a relay had failed, causing the vehicle to be lifted or released with the brakes on, which ultimately explained the smoke formation.
Thanks to the available parts that could be obtained from the factory neighbors, this customer was helped the same day, which meant that no production losses occurred.
CE declaration
A customer has a crane/crane that no one can service?
After a brief introduction, we decided to test everything and map out everything that needed to be done.
After resolving the issues, a new CE declaration was issued, along with the necessary accompanying documents, allowing the crane to be put into service.
The crane has been officially commissioned, allowing the customer to operate it safely and worry-free.
Cylinder
A customer who supplies steam for potato peeling production calls to report that a hydraulic cylinder left over from an automatic grab crane is jeopardizing production.
Since there was no cylinder in stock, it was decided to weld on the damaged cylinder so that production could be resumed and to order a new cylinder in the meantime.
After the new cylinder was delivered, a planned stop was scheduled to replace it.
Replace steel cable
Following a periodic inspection by an inspection body, it emerged that a number of deficiencies needed to be resolved quickly.
This customer was able to reach us through word of mouth advertising.
After a brief introduction and consultation, the comments from the inspection body were resolved one by one.
Plasma filter extraction
A customer contacted us about a problem with a plasma cutting table whose exhaust system was no longer working. A German machine manufacturer was unable to assist them because the system reportedly needed to be completely replaced. The problem was that the smoke remained in the production hall, potentially endangering the health of the workforce.
Normally we don’t do this kind of thing, but for loyal customers we do a little more than just cranes/cranes.
During investigation it turned out that several filter elements and the compressed air valves were defective, preventing the accumulated dust from falling.
Thanks to our extensive expertise, we opted for equivalent compressed air valves. All valves, couplings, and coils were also replaced to ensure long-term, trouble-free operation.
Coil clamp LED
One problem with loading or unloading the ship at night was that it became dark, which prevented the crane operators from having a clear view of the products being handled.
To improve visibility, we decided to install LED lighting on the coil clamp for better visibility. The lighting could be switched on and off via the existing radio remote control.
